  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Unfortunately, as other's have said, these bikes just are bringing in what other brands do. I think I'd be lucky to get $2,500-3,000 for my 2011. Good luck.

2000-2500 in that shape to the right buyer. but thats the key... the right buyer who knows what he is looking at. Great bikes. People keep trying to buy my 02 from me that ride it, not selling.

It does look like an amazingly clean bike for it's age and probably not many left in that condition, but it's only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. There's a 2013 YZ250 in mint condition listed for $3,500 near me.

It's a clean bike for sure, exceptional for a 2001. Unfortunately it's a 2001 and worth way more to the guy who built it then the potential buyers. I have an 08 YZ125 in similar condition except it gets ridden occasionally so not as polished. The YZs are identical form 2006-2015 and sell new for $6500 and mine, because of the mods, is better than a new one yet I'd be lucky to get $2,300 so I will likely own it for a few more years... It's the unfortunate part of dirt bikes, not that that's a bad thing especially if you're buying. Fixing up dirt bikes is a great way to divide your money in half, riding them beats anything else money can buy.

Wow CoS! That Yami looks like it's never seen dirt. I try to keep my 11 TE looking good, but I got nothin on that.

YZs are EZ to find but a super clean CR250 husky is not. He just needs to find the right buyer. Someone is looking for that bike.

...where were you when I was looking for this exact bike!?! My son has just started doing a project bike from a rolling chassis up without motor...P.M. me ! I might just have to buy it...definitely would pay more than $1600.00 ...but I'll keep this between me and you....hit me up first!

Just saying I take care of my bikes and go around muddy sections I can't jump...my bikes are Dirt Bikes not Mud Bikes...LOL

Sorry I'm kinda new to this site a deleted the YRYAN5.jpgRYAN4.jpgRYAN3.jpg ami picks by mistake but here they are again...like i said I sold this 2005 YZ250 for 3500.00...about a month ago..the fellow who bought it loves it... plus I sold the stk pipe/silencer and plastic plus IMS oversize tank for woods riding for another 350plus on eBay...I take care of my bikes...

Buying and selling dirt bikes is just "money under the bridge".......ride the snot out of it, try to maintain it and then when it comes time to move on dump it and be done with it. How anyone has patience for months of running ads, responding to neanderthal texters and time wasters is beyond me. I only buy from like minded sellers, get it gone and be done with it. Money under the bridge!

My race bike is like that girl who starts out as a 9 then the closer you get the score starts dropping as it becomes apparent that she's got lots more miles on her than it looked like. A 20 footer
