  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc What FWW for 2013 WR250

Steahly shows their weight is not for model years past 2010. What FWW are we using for a 2013?
Please and thank you.

the flywheel is slightly different in the WRs with the Ducati ignition. The stealthy weight will fit but it will lock on the flywheel surface rather than the center where the nut would lock it to the pinion, To adapt the weight on the later ignition you will need a shim,50 to 55 thousands as a spacer than it will work perfect

Stealthy just updated the ffw for the 12-14' bikes so you do not need a spacer anymore. Just talked to them yesterday about mine (old version 10-11' with shim) stripping out on my 14'. Didn't hurt anything but the ffw. They said the new ones are made specifically for the 12'+ wr bikes so I'll be picking one up next week.

I really only like to use my FWW when in a mud/sand race or in a race with big technical up hills and lots of hill climbs. If I know the course will be fairly flat or not so technical I take my weight out. With no weight it seems like I dont have to try so hard to go fast corner to corner since it doesnt have that lag. I ride a 300 so the weight does help tame the beast in the other stuff I dont use it for stalling since I run a Rekluse. Its nice in mud/sand, can ride a gear or two high, ride smooth, and hook and go past the other guys zinging motors, spinning 360's and laying in the mud/sand

That is exactly what I was thinking of doing as well. Gives you adjust-ability and tames the top heavy hit. I am old school bottom power and think it will fit my riding style best. Thanks for the info.

This one is for my teenage son. His style is very smooth and he is very light as well. I just want to tame the hit for him a little. I agrre that it doesnt really need it when I ride it but I dont want him to be intimidated. He's also just coming of a broken wrist.
