  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st What did you do to your Husky today?

I run the same one but with their billet mount. Fits behind the stock headlight mask but not the standard number plate.
Mine has been installed for 2 years now. Only issue has been the internal battery going dead which resets the mileage back to zero.
That's good info, thanks.

Nice set up NCSteve I really like that clutch
Thanks, it and the Terminator cable are a big help with EXP 2. Funny, now after doing all that the more I ride with the Rekluse the less I use the clutch

Linkage time.

Nice, I've got mine apart for cleaning/lubing. With @ 35hrs total and 15hrs since last time I serviced the linkage I was planning to ride both days this past weekend, then tear it down and add new 5.0 shock spring. Instead, after lunch Sat. I snapped one of the crappy chain adj. bolts and didn't get to ride the 300 at all

2000 WR360 red/white by bmcg419, on Flickr

This is from yesterday, but finally got the white rear fender and red radiator shrouds on from cemoto. Graphics are from cemoto as well and the Front fender is a UFO Design 2 Supermoto Fender. Also got an Moose EZ3 Clutch Lever and Pro-Taper Floating handguards. It's a '99 WR250 engine and the PC pipe is being modded to fit the stock muffler so no pipe on it for now.

I plated the bike a few months back and need to buy a nice white or red headlight (maybe polisport halo h4, trailtech x2 or advmonster dual sport fairing) and finish up the wiring. Should have my Warp9 SM wheels in next week. :D

Replaced the piston yesterday and put silicon Radiator hoses on- they didn t fit straight away- not Happy But its ok now.
Lets See how they perform in the long term.
Also i have to replace the inlet rubber manifold- its already dead... just over a year and it starts falling apart...
Only 2 days left till raceday!

Just put a new throttle cable on (longer ktm cable). Also have a new galfer steal braided front brake line to replace stock line and finally will be putting new linkage and swing arm bearings in this weekend.

Cleaned airfilter, washed the whole bike somewhat, lubed chain and greased rear damper, put in more gas and took it for a short ride.. :P

Install complete on New top end, fork seals, chain and sprockets, seat cover, air filter, rubber intake boot, reed block and reeds, air box, clutch lever and perch and clutch cable, and bled brakes and new rear pads. Now I just need to ride the dang thing!!

Well done!

bling! After a nice tank slap recently I added a bar pad ;)

Had to drill out and re-tap a chain adj bolt. Got some nice grade 10 alloy bolts to replace the stock junk.
Also grabbed a Moose shark fin and caliper mount for 1/2 price, EBC copper pads and bled the brakes.

And, picked up a used Gnarley pipe here, so finally swapped that. Doesn't fit well, but performs very well. Nice boost on the bottom, still tops out well.gnarley2.jpg

Traded for a 5.0 shock spring and installed it while I had the swingarm off. First ride today in over a week with big changes and it just keeps getting better. Perfect riding conditions this afternoon here, had a blast.

Replaced clutch basket. Loctited kick idler gear bolt, replaced seals and orings on water pump, reassembled side cover with new gasket, filled with BRay gear saver oil and added new anti-freeze, ready for another test ride. Owned the bike since Dec 14, rode it once. Previous owner was abusive, total rebuild.
