As in the pics thread, I removed the keyed ignition switch and mounted a toggle switch on my nav tower instead.
I also rerouted the seat release cable so I can pop it without using the key
My boy (only 3) was fiddling with the foot pegs yesterday and as a result I spotted that they were loose. Removed the bolts on the right hand side, cleaned them up and refitted them, no problem.
Removed one bolt on the left hand side peg, the other snapped off leaving next to nothing to work with.
Lots of drilling, hammering swearing and sweating later, I had enough of the bolt removed that I could chase the hole with my 8mm tap and cut and clean the threads. I've replaced the bolts with some nice stainless steel ones, hopefully that should do the trick.
Finally, I installed some pressure release valves on the fork legs. The little screws were getting chewed up as they are right underneath the bracket for my hand-guards and were difficult to get at.
What have you done to your bike today?
