    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

My ECU is on its way to ZipTy to be ramapped. I have noticed this before but never taken much thought to it until now. Do you think I already have it loaded? I bought this bike with 43 miles on it and I was informed it was equipped with race map II at the time. It does have the jumper plug as well. Thanks guys
 
That is probably already Map Set 3.

My work order from my dealer (a BMW dealer) read "BMW Race Set 3" and the line item printout read "Akrapovic Map_E60BD_AOC".

If that third letter is a "C" - then you have map set 3.
 
Piss, I am thinking the same thing. Just don't understand why the previous owner would of had that loaded on a completely stock bike.
 
I felt like it was terrible when I first had it. Maybe it just took a little bit to break in and because I got in in mid December. The first 150 miles were awful. It used to run so bad until I put the full exhaust on. So basically I have been riding with Map 3 the whole time, and because it was unknown to me I feel like I want more power out of it. I know the next step is a PCV, I may be getting one sooner than expected at this point.
 
Do it and get the PCV and the Autotune to go with it. Its the "sheeeat" let me tell you. The more you ride it the better it will get. Just for you and exactly what you want and need. Nobodies race maps necassary really, you get to build your own and it just keeps getting better.
