  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

what 2 do with o2 senser 12 txc 511 fmf header?

Going to install powerbomb fmf exhaust, older threads say install map#2 and just unplug o2 senser. Is that a reflash? The 2012 ecu is locked out and cant be reflashed according to zipty. Or is the #2 map something that plugs in ? The resister plug that j d sells doesn't fit , he's fairly certain the tuner will not function unless I plug it. Thanks for any help

PS, you shouldn't plug anything in where the O2 sensor plugs in. There is no resistor, just a shunt/jumper that plugs in under the seat adjacent to the ECU. There should be a loose connection with a cap on it.

allright !!! I found the jumper with owners manual, installed it and fixed the low rpm surging and no flame out yet. Thanks Texas!!!

Welcome to stage 1 tuning for the Kymco engine. Think we should initiate a campaign for ZipTy to resolve the unflashable ECUs, I'd love to have map 3.

The tool needed to flash the TXC's is $6k dollars. We raced the TXC511, Nick Burson's, and it used the pcv. Flashing map set #3 into your stock ecu no where compares to the addition of the powercommander.

Thanks Tinken, good to know. Am thinking I should have bought PCV instead of JD now.

Does the PCV work well alone or do you need autotune module etc?
