• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

This is on ADVrider as well, but I thought with all the amazing single track, endless Dual-Sport riding and high mountain passes most of the husky guys would enjoy it too. So the details....

WHAT:
The annual ADVrider.com rally for friends to meet in the heart of the Rockies for food, drinks and of course riding. Riders can choose from organized rides each day or head out on their own and have the opportunity to explore miles of single track trails, dual-sport routes that climb well above tree line into the high Rockies, or do adventure riding on the countless miles of gravel roads and remote twisty highways.

All this from the comfort and proximity of Buena VIsta, a great community with good restaurants, entertainment for the family and any kind of riding one could want within 30min.

With registration participants can enjoy a BBQ on the night of the 10th when prizes will be given away and we recognize the blunders of the weekend!

WHEN:
August 9th-11th, 2013

WHERE:
Buena Vista, Colorado at Arrowhead Point Camp Ground.

VENUE:
Arrowhead Point campground is located at the base of the 14,000 foot Collegiate Peaks and offers incredible views in every direction. Participants can choose to tent camp with the other ADVriders in the large and dedicated group area, or there are cabins and RV spaces on site as well.

Arrowhead Point is on the outskirts of Buena Vista and participants can stay in various hotels just minutes away, yet still enjoy the festivities. Each night the 1600 sq foot covered pavilion will be a gathering point for ride planning, BBQ, drinks, and BS.

Amenities at Arrowhead Point:
-Laundry
-Showers
-Morning Espresso bar
-Camp Store
-Wifi access

More information for Arrowhead Point can be found HERE

RIDES:
Each day there will be organized group rides, or endless possibilities to explore on your own or with friends.

Is it only for street legal bikes or is offroad registration ok?

Yep an OHV sticker is fine. There is more then enough single track, 4x4 roads, etc that don't need a plate. Most people with dirtbikes just truck or trailer from Buena Vista into Taylor Park (about 20-30min drive depending on where you unload) and then have access to all the riding. There are also several other areas within 15min from Buena Vista that have a bunch of OHV accessable riding.

More than likely. To close to home to pass up. It's about time I find a great ride here, sick of watching everyone else's lol

A morning espresso bar at the camp ground...Nice touch! I will be riding to that...see you there!

You have to decide which bike your taking lol

After renting the 449 again on Saturday I've decided on a 310 :). After tax season finally!
Good choice! I am sure I will be taking the Terra. I have never been on an organized group ride, but I may try it.
