  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc went and looked at an 04 cr125 tonight

Husqvarna
AA Class
The bike cant have anymore than 5 hours on it. Virtually no wear marks anywhere. Original grips and tires. Started first kick.

Bad news, these people left it dirty im assuming its whole life. When i got there it was soaking wet and still had dirt on it. So i can imagine how it looked before it was rinsed off.

He's asking 1600. What do you guys think, buy it, strip It down clean everything, grease everything, change fluids, and filter and save it from those neglectful owners?

Im 200 lb b class mx rider, i know ill need stiffer springs and most likely a revalve. Anything else you guys suggest? Anyone have any hook ups on fast by ferracci parts like those 50mm forks, ignition, clamps or anything?

Im thinking ill love the bike i just HATE that its been left dirty. His answer was its barely dirty cmon it's a dirtbike.

if the bike truly has less than 5 hours on it, how can you pass?!?!?! Dirty or not, that is a smoking deal. I would buy that bike for that price covered with 2" of mud.

Where is it? I would like another one...... Seriously though, you should buy it! You are going to have a pretty tough time in 125 intermediate at 200 pounds, but you will have fun trying.

Not true. I am 190, was more, rode 125's for 10 years before the 144 and 165 no problem. I don't think he will have much issues int he B class unless he is riding really big / deep HP tracks. I see guys my size at the local track in the A class mopping up on 250F's. Mike go out to Delta park one night and be amazed. There are 4-5 125's out there spanking the 250F class on RM and YZ 125s' fun to watch. I rode the 125 dream race at Washougal which is a big track and was probably as fast on that as anything as I could keep it hammered and not be worn out after the 2nd lap. Its all the rider (and I SUCK at MX)

Heres my 04 when it was semi new 10 years go. (setup for off road) I have owned 5 04's now. Bought 2 of them new.

I think im going to buy it. Im not worried about being competitive on it or not just looking at it as a practice bike/ training tool. And i know 125s are about the most fun on 2 wheels around.

Two guys, same skill level, one is 120 (a common weight in 125 intermediate), one is 200, as long as neither makes a mistake, the 120 pounder will win every time. I'm not saying a 200 pound guy can't fly on a 125, because you can, you just won't be competitive all other things being equal. The OP sounds like he will be using it for non competitive purposes so it makes no difference.

PIR MX (Delta Park) 1997-2002 almost every Thursday!

Here she is! Stopped for gas and the lighting was enough for a couple cell pictures! I stopped at s car wash and already carefully cleaned her off. Tomorrow will be full cleaning and greasing and some shakedown riding if it goes well saturday hitting a trail park with a couple mild tracks.

Excited is an understatement! After cleaning it i pulled the choke up stood next to it kicked it with my left foot and it fired up second kick. It hadnt been started since yesterday. I know its hardly worth mentioning but it feels great to be back on a 125!!

Ordered a motosportz lectron set up for 100ll fuel. Cant wait to toss that on.
Next up on the list is suspension, dep exhaust, and having the head cut. Should be a really solid bike at that point. Im loving the light weight, one finger stoppie front brake and the build quality. I forgot how nice huskys are to work on everythibg is made with thought to the end user. Great stuff.

I wish I could fin done like that in Oz - Thee seems to be these older CRs just sitting around !!!
I rode an 04 and it seemed to have more snap than an 09

I found this mint 01 250 for sale maybe this would be good

the 04-08 CR125 are the fastest ones ever IMHO. Don't know why but they are. The newer motor is fine but they should have left it alone. The new 09 and up frames handle better but seem more fragile.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if footpegs from any other brand fit our husky 125s? I love wide pegs and would love a set of kite pegs but they are not listed for huskys from my brief search
