    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hey fellas,
The name is Mark. I live work and go to school in Indianapolis. My dad has an '83 XC250 that he has had since it was new. It has been sitting for 15-20 years, so I decided to restore it for him. I joined to learn as much as I can about these bikes and ask any questions I have along the way.

I currently ride a 2010 KTM 690 SMC and a 2003 Buell XB9R. Got into supermoto about 2 years ago so I was toying with the idea of converting dads bike. Thanks for the welcome!

Hey everyone my name is Wes and I just purchased a 2014 Te 511 and not familiar with Huskies. I definitely want to take advantage of its power but do not know where to start.
I know I will want to put a FMF power core 4.
I read that there is a competitive mapping...How can I get this remapped?
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
I live in Perris, CA ...Next to Murrieta.

Hey guys... My name is Doug from so cal. Well, I went ahead and took a delicious bite of the Red Velvet cake and added a 14 Te511 to the quiver. Learned a lot from all the people here at Cafe Husky before I pulled the trigger..thanks. Four days old and already cleaned up the license plate, remapped,etc.. and some Red candy pieces from ZipTy Racing. Looking forward to many ear to ear grins on this great bike.

Hey there I'm new hear just introducing myself. I live in a relatively remote part of Australia and Husky parts are hard to come by let alone info. So as you can imagine when I came across this site I thought all my Christmases had come at once.
The bike I have is 5 years old and has not been all that well looked after, so fixing it up is as much the hobby as riding it.
This site has already helped me fix countless things but as I am getting better at riding this bike I am finding more and more things I would like to repair/improve. I'm sure I will drive everyone mad with stupid questions but if everyone could tolerate this for a while the questions will get more interesting.:)

My Name is Gerrit aka Scrat :-)

I stay in sunny Cape Town , South Africa and recently bought a TE 510 2005 to build up and modify to be my Rally bike for the Amageza Rally here in South Africa. ( www.Amageza.com )
now i have done it 3 times already ( BUT with my KTM 950 Adventure ) i a will not lie - i suffered to keep that beast going steady up a mountain!! ( i'm only 1,78m tall and weigh 80kg ) so to play with the 950 in dunes is not always fun :-):D

SO not knowing the TE 510 i have heard it will be the bike to have - we will be testing it soon and let you know what i think -

Good Day, All. My Name Is Ace. I reside in Tucson, Arizona, USA. I am a new rider a new TR650 Terra. Had a DRZ400...don't miss it. I most likely will be hanging around the tr650 Thread since, well...that is what i am riding.

PS. Thank you all who are resposible for this site being alive and well. I have found so much usefull info here.

Hello all,
Started on an 80s Suzuki as my first bike last year and figured out what I wanted. Now I'm rolling on a TR650 Strada.
TheGSResources forum helped me get my way around my old bike, happy to find a site that will help me around my new one.

I, like Wes, have just purchased a new TE511.
I've posted a number of things here, but have not done this "welcome" area yet. So here I am.

My biggest question is about moderators. I know Coffee looks at all of these personally (??) at least that's what I read from a post. Does it take days to have a post be ok? Many times, I reply to someone, and my post is not even seen in a timely manner, which messes up the continuity.

So anything anyone can do to help me out is great. I'd just like to know if there's something I need to do so my posts get seen right away. Do I need to become a paying contributor for that to happen?

My bike is 2014 TE511. I'm enjoying it very much, and working on mods. I live in Southern California, Orange County. Have been working on bikes since I was 12. So I'm 52 now. Still working on bikes. Know a lot, and have a lot to learn.

This forum is great, ive already followed a really good guide to gutting and replacing the internals of a standard silencer and the resistor in the O2 sensor plug.

Hi all. Just introducing myself. I am in New Zealand and have recently made the change from KTM to Husqvarna. My 08 KTM EXC-F 280 had done me well but it was time for something newer with EFI and a fan! A near new 2013 TXC 310 fitted the bill as a replacement.

It's taking awhile to set the bike up as i wish, probably because i am so used to the KTM way of doing things. Probably will help now that the old faithful has now gone to a new home. However, i was well impressed with my first ride of the TXC last weekend. Plenty of poke and nice and nimble.
 
New to the family or at lest I think I will be. Going this weekend to look at and hopefully go home with a 2012 txc310. The bikes got about 95 hours on it but looks to have been well cared for. A little racing in it's background. I live in Jersey so the first thing I'll be looking to do is add headlights and a tail light. Hopefully I can search and find some products that fit. Headlight and wiring harness look easy just want to get a taillight that looks OK.

Hey guys. I have been snooping around the forum for a bit now. My girlfriend go me my first Husky last year (2004 TE 450). I have been loving it so far. H need to get out and ride more though; Dual BS degrees, TAing two classes, and work is not leaving me much time for it. I'm working on learning a lot about them. If any one is around Western Washington (especially the Pullman area) hit me up for some riding.

Hey Nathan..Pullman is in eastern Wa ;)
There used to be lots of riders at U Idaho just over the border. Some of them gather at the Breakfast Club in Moscow on weekend mornings.

HAHA you got me, I meant to say Eastern WA. It was a late night working on an Arch studio project. Thanks for the heads up I will have to check it out.
 
Im working on a CR 460 for a friend and wants a kill switch installed. He bought a two wire switch there is only one wire going to coil not sure how to wire correctly can any one help?
