Hello Coffee and all the lucky owners of Husqvarna motorcycles.
I'm a first time Husky owner so I'm hoping to learn a lot from this forum. I picked up my zero mile 08' SM 610 two days ago from a dealer and I'm looking forward to taking it out today on a getting to know it ride. I've been riding dirt bikes since I was ten, and I currently have five motorcycles in my garage with one for sale. I live in Northern California and I'm married with two children. Hope a few forum members here live in my area so we could ride.

Since I started riding in 1991 I've had various superbikes: GPZ500s, Kawasaki ZX-6R, Yamaha R6, Aprilia Mille. Used up lots of tyres at track days. That kinda slowed down and ended when our kids came along. I always said that one day I would learn to ride dirtbikes. After my Mille had been gathering dust for about a year, I decided to get a BMW R1200GS (which was at the time what I thought of as a dirtbike). It was great, except that I kept finding myself at the local enduro loop, and wondering how the hell bikes went up and down and through *that* stuff.

Eventually I came to my senses and realised that I had bought the wrong bike. The local Aprilia dealer was also a Husky dealer, so I traded in the Mille and got a used 2007 TE510. And sold the GS. That was March 2008, and now I know how to get up and down and through *that* stuff. It's the most fun I've ever had going slowly.

New to the Husqvarna family

Hello folks,
Just picked up a used 2008 TE-610 with low miles at a fair price. I put about 35 miles on last night in a mix of rough unmaintained and back roads in the mountains of SW PA. Wow do I love it already. Going to be doing a few mods such as such as the pipe and removing the lamboda thingy, different tires and of course skid plate and hand guards.

Been riding for most of my 44 years and have owned too many bikes to list here. A mix of dirt and street bikes. It seems that I am reverting back to my youth as my stable of bikes are all dirt oriented. The 610 will join a KTM 450 EXC and BMW R1200 GS. Going out the door is my old trusty Suzuki DR650 (For Sale). Loved that bike, but it just doesn't compare to the 610.

I tend to be more of a lerker than a poster, but I do slip a post in now and again. Looking forward to a long relationship with this ride and this community.

Yep you are right, that 610 is just about the most fun you can have on two wheels. Not many bikes that you can trek out for 100 miles of hwy, pick just about any trail you want to play on that day then turn around and head back home for another 100 mile hwy jaunt.

That wr300 should be a great choice if you're looking for some thing that has the hit of a older open class bike but is more refined.

I have an 09 TE510, live on the east coast of Australia, go riding as often as I can, been riding since I was 5, raced mx a bit but do trail rides now, love hill climbs and roosting the hell out of KTM's.

Work on my own bike plus bro's TE450.

I am trying to restore a 1978/9 390 and I found your site. I used to compete in enduro with Huskys in the early 80s. My first new husky was a WR 240. The sponsors back then took me to Sweden and I saw it beeing build. I think it was in January 1982. After the 240 I had a WR 500 and WR 400. I stopped riding off road about 20 years ago but I am hoping one day to start again.

Like so many of us the Husky spirit tends to get in you're blood and never goes away. Or to put it another way (Huskys are like potato chips "Bet you can't have just one").

I ride a 2002 cr250 with a flywheel weight, 18" rear in VCHSS Hare scrambles, crushingly slowly. The bike is fine, but does not have idle adj. on the carb. Can I pop an adjuster in?

Howdy folks,
I am a new owner of a 09 TE250 in Ga. I am a total newb when it comes to bikes, but could not be happier with my purchase. I love this bike almost as much as my Mini, and can't believe the wife approved of the purchase either. She is French, thus the username. I have been a long lurker and love the sight so far. Now i need to get the balz to get rid of my carbon canister and use this to it's potential without killing myself. I just wish I had trails closer that I could ride to without trailering, I have not built up the nerve to take it out on the road yet, other than the neighborhood and local roads, the cagers scare me, anyways...

I have a "mostly restored" '77 CR 390 as well as a '72 and '73 Hodaka Wombat,; a '76 Hodaka Dirt Squirt (restoration bike), and an '05 BMW R1200 GS. Recently got into the vintage bikes, but now I need more time!

Hope to find another "vintage Husky" to add to the stable.
