I'm getting a little worn out, by all the comments about what is and isn't a Husky and you know all
the rest. It reminds me of Thumper Talk, when there was no Husky Forum (I'm not going to even touch, where TT Husky Forum is now). You'd put a Husky post in the Exotic Forum and you would get..... "My VOR, Husaberg, insert Exotic Brand here, doesn't do that." Or you would get the.... "They haven't made a real Husky since, blah, blah."
I was one of the handful of people who asked for a separate Husky Forum and got berated by other Exotic Forum users for it. We only got it because, one of the TT owners had a fleeting interest in Husky, when they introduced the street legal DS bikes.
We've got CH now and a place in it for every part of the Husky World. Let's make a place for the Austrian Huskys, just like there is for Swedish, Italian and German ones. Being on the '12 Husaberg TE250, has given me an insight into what is coming with the '14 Huskys. Other riders have been on KTM XC's with linkage, so can give feedback. I'd rather share info here, than on TT or KTM Talk, but I don't want some hater in my face, every time I post.
.
If you don't like a certain flavor of Husky, just enjoy the ones you like. I like my '03 TE610E DS, but don't like TR650's. I wasn't happy BMW killed the 630, but I don't spend my time bashing these "BMW" bikes, I just stay with the bikes I like. It is probably a good time to add an "Other Bike" section for all our Husky friends, who will be looking towards, Gas Gas, Beta, Sherco, OSSA, Fantic and others. There are good people here, who don't want to transition into Austrian Huskys. I'd like to see them stay around and enjoy reading about other exotics. I'm the first to admit... I didn't always feel this way!
I'm done being a "KTM Hater". It sucks too much positive energy from my life. Husky had 26 years to get it together and they didn't' get it done. I'd rather see the Brand survive, than have it killed completely. If anyone doubts my "Husky Credibility", go right ahead... I know what Huskys I've owned, ridden and raced and I'm pretty secure with it. That is a statement of fact, not arrogance. The Husky riders who want to go forward with new bikes, let's enjoy them together and we'll enjoy all the other flavors of Huskys, that we like too.
