  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Was this a mistake?

only mistake i ever made when it came to buying bikes? was not buying it.

i wana ride em all before i die.
Yeah no kidding. I would buy every bike made if I were rich, even if I didn't plan on riding it. We all make fun of next years model because the only change is graphics but that's cause we can't afford the new one lol

I have bought bikes everyone else loved, and did not like them one bit, eventually they were sold and I would try
Something else. I really did not mean to be rude, we like what we like, and dealer support is very important
To some folks. I have a dealer 20 miles from me, and they are good, but I use a dealer 90 miles away, they are
Expert on huskys. I am old and slow now, I look long and hard before I leap, I used to jump on bikes and sometimes
Take a hit getting rid of them, usually making someone else happy. I am the only one of my riding buddies with
A husky, and I love it, warts and all. Mike I hope you either get comfortable with the husky or find what will work
for you. Sounds like you have an opportunity to learn some wrenching skills. If you have problems, there is a wealth
Of knowledge here, and I have had good luck with halls in Springfield, Il. Good luck.

Sounds like you would have been asking yourself the same question if you would have bought orange.

"I could have bought a kick-ass Husky, dressed her to got to battle and still been under the orange sticker, did I make a mistake?"

You did just fine! Don't let life waste away, go rip up some dirt!

Here's the '13 TXC250R ready for battle, haven't bought one Husky part...Cycra, CV4, Supersprox, RK chain, TM Designs, Pro Circuit, Enduro Eng., Zipty oil filter gaskets and aftermarket filters...
All off the shelf.

If you need some aftermarket part numbers; PM me, they will bolt right on the 310.

I must admit, I like the sounds of your bike. From the manufactures your naming the parts sound good. I got some more time on my 310 today and I'm finding it so hard to justify putting more money into it, it's so good right from the factory im shocked! I bet your bikes a blast! Hope you did well at your race! where was it btw? and what series? I'm right on the border of PA and Maryland (and WV actually) so I'd imagine im not to far from you.

Guys, you're taking this waaaay too serious. Theres nothing wrong with my Husky. The fact that KTM is buying them kinda freaks me out, but by the time it affects me and my bike(a few years) it will probably be time for a new bike. Then I am buying a new KTM from WMR in Stuart, Fl. I'm buying the dealership, not the bike. If they sold Suzuki(i just threw up in my mouth), I would ride it. They are a top notch race shop/dealership that only deals in dirt and thats more important to me than brand. In fact, I'm dropping my Husky there this Sat to get the suspension done. They work on everything, so really, I dont have any problems, but thanks for the posts.

Your welcome, and good luck.

I'll take the honors of being the last to post to this thread...dead.

Connor; not going to hijack, but let's talk about bikes and racing...I sent you a PM.

mistake?

my best freinds bike in my lil workshop (pardon the mess we's busy!)...bout 20 hours or so on it?...shock, fork and springs, filter, chain, sprockets, pivot/steering bearings, muffler packing, brakes all toast. motor's fine but the rest is done. note the new Motoz (thanks to Kelly @ Motosportz) on the rims far right....be a LOT different bike when she rolls out. told him to buy a husky. but noooo...dont listen to me.

now that was a mistake.
