• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Okay, I'll take a chance, and post just this one! The rest remain in the vault! It is a mutually assured destruction thing.

Please keep in mind that Walt had NO rear brake! The officials still flagged him with a personal foul: helmet to the head. Of course, I was ticketed for driving on the wrong side of the road.

Riding with you guys looked like a lot of fun until that video lol

We drink better than we ride, and we keep the cooler stocked. So we have some redeeming value. If you can redeem us!

Great vids Jon, looks like fun back in MT. What is it with you and head-ons though? I seem to recall a near head on when you were riding my bike awhile back?
All fun-

Ecuvator - Yes, I had a near death experience with a Yamaha rider in Bend last fall while riding your WB165. For a while, I thought my wife might have been on the Yamaha since that rider seemed to take their half out of the middle too! I guess when you only look 5 feet down the trail, things like this happen. Someday i'll learn................maybe. FYI - Walt talked me into the Fasst Flex bars today. Thanks for you help with that too. I really look forward to a little relief. At the speeds that I carry, they should really help...............LOL!

With all the interest in the Lectron, here is a subjective, mostly sound, comparison between the Lectron and Keihin. They sound similar, but the Lectron seems to run better at all RPM's. These videos were taken a year apart on the same hill, the same bike, the same camera, and same rider - me! I'm still slow but getting better! I did not post the numerous wrecks because they always seem to include bad language. Walt has a video of a few of my messes on that same hill from my 2011 on about my 6th ride ever! I hope he doesn't dig them out!
