  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Very cool! That vid was making the rounds a month ago on social media. "The bike's awesome! I love it. Power from this to the Yamaha and stuff... I think this is faster..." So do I.

Did you see the write up in one of the mags on the 144? I think it was MXA. With a pro circuit 144 motor and exhaust, it made something like 40.75 HP on top. I think it was like 4 hp better than the stock 144. Pretty impressive.

That bike was at the World 2-stroke Championship at Glen Helen back in April and it Kick'd Ass,,the only Competition it had was from,,of all bikes,,, The KTM!!!

Jamie Lanza didn't win either moto, he went 6-7 (which is still awesome). Bobby Garrison one Moto 2 on a Husky and I think Blake Savage won the first moto, I know Blake won the overall and won the prize 2013 husky CR125. Bobby Garrison also raced his 144 in the 250 class and went like 8-9.

Here's how it stood at the finish,, Blake Savage took 1st overall,,Colton Aeck took 2nd and the KTM  rider Billy Laninovich took 3rd overall... I was there and must say Laninovich was on fire on that KTM he was the man to beat as it was playing out,,but the Husky rider's brought it home!!:applause:

It was a joke ..... but I'm sure it will.

Yeah, it prablably will---even though I will say that my KTM 250 XC with @50 hours has been flawless since day one while my TE 310 is in the shop AGAIN---fourth time in @110 hours. So far so good with my CR 150 though.

I was just wondering if Husqvarnas will mysteriously go back to being blue and yellow and get "new plastic". It will be interesting because while I like the ergos of the new KTMs, the ergos of the Husaberg tank, rad shrouds, and air box are a bit slimmer---more like the slimmness of the Husqvarnas. I've even thought of getting a Husa tank, shrouds, and air box plastic to make the KTM slimmer like the Husaberg/Husqvarna.

But not to digress from the OP---as long as the 2 strokes stay alive as I'm sure they will (and the Husky 2Ts finally get revamped) it will be great for the sport.
