• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Lots of opportunities to ride your off road motorcycle. Especially if you consider riding a hare scramble or the Michigan Sprint Enduro series. Have fun!!

A little more info, entry fee is $20 ,course is normally 30 to 40 miles long gas and a break mid way usually back at start for a hour. very fun, nothing a vintage bike cant do ,the events have been getting a couple of IT yamahas, Husqvarnas, and Pentons already . Plenty of resets to get back on time . Give one a try as ahrma dropped there event and the isdt events
Al,

Thanks! To clarify, if the schedule has FES in it there will be a vintage enduro, if entrys are sufficient?

That's correct, there are three of us from Michigan that are planning to make all of them so it should be a go ... hoping to get enough to break the classes down like ahrma

This vintage racing is growing more and more that’s awesome for everyone. Bring that old iron back to life.

Matthews is a great race one of the most fun of the series , you will really like that course, and this year its not in july like it normally is can be very hot

Just a update on the vintage enduro , the first event is Roselawn ,In April 21st.We have picked up Dc plastics to help with end of year awards and are working on a couple of others here is a example of the event trophiestrophies.jpeg get that bike and use it! We will be the group with the rokon, husky auto, a 83wr 250, and a xr 200 hope to see you there

Thanks for all the posts. Do you know a time schedule for sign-up, riders meeting, key time, etc next weekend at Roselawn?

Entry sent in. Look for a yellow 1975 Penton 250. Looks like weather will be decent; at least for this spring!

If you can get a early minute as possible , we always ride in the first 10 numbers if possible . Remember 12 mph loop is one mile every five minutes ,18mph loop is 1 mile is 3.3 minutes the 12mph is very easy to do ,the 18mph you have to be with it pretty good . Still easier than there Sunday enduro I have yet to finish that one

Race results ! we had 7 show up and two of the top three are café husky members , vintagecs (Mick) took 1st on his beautiful 250 penton , and I took third on my 84 250 wr husky looks like we gained a good bit of interest ,getting a lot of emails and questions at the event hope to see this take off as enduro is a great event for these bikes

Al, thanks for the tip on the D14 FES series; I absolutely loved it! For sure will do two more in Indiana: Matthews and New Paris. Oh yea, don't forget to send me those pics of the 390! see you at Hayes Farm in two weeks!

Mick

Thanks Vintagecs are they racing there? I sold Craig a bike a few yrs ago's he was going to restore it and send me some pics when he finished it but haven't heard anything since. He did say he had a couple inline to restore so maybe he hasn't got to it yet.
