  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone have an opinion about these pipes?

Looking for an aftermarket pipe for my 81 430 CR.

In all of my searching this looks like my only choice.
Thanks,
Darrell

I have a brand spanking new one just got few weeks back BUT it won't work on my '82 500CR. Had one on my '83 CR480 and fit was perfect, artwork.

Maico only`s site is still down for a rebuild.
Jemco stuff lots good but they dont list one for my bike.
Anyone running a retro rocket?

The Maico only pipe is very nice. Look at leftCoastLEftkickers bike!!!

Call him. He is local to SOCAL.

Hey these guys look promising and the prices are great, even Lackey runs the Circle F pipe.
They dont list one for my bike but i emailed them for price and application.

I just got delivery of my custom made spark arrestor from Rich Daly at Dynoport.
Cant wait to find a pipe and ceramic coat it and go riding!

Thanks for the leads Uncle Husky.

Darrell

Husky bros, I live about 2 miles from CircleF and know Kevin, He is not interested is evo pipes these days as vintage keeps him very busy. I also live very close to Jemco and spoke with them but I'm not willing to leave my pristine '83 there for months to get a pipe made. Hopefully Uptite will start doing them again someday. I feel alls pain as it sucks trying to get a pipe for our evo Huskys

the 430 pipe from anyone won't work on the 500 because the cylinder is waaay taller! I've run both Pro-Form and Vintage Iron pipes (still wish George'd make his) on my 430 and both are good however i like the feel from the P-F one better

I am looking for a nice pipe for my 83 CR250, can't find anyone who makes one ?

Anyone fitted an 82 pipe to an 83 (i have seen those for sale, it looks like you only need to change the mounting brackets ) ?

Do you have the web site address for pro-form?

Hey leftcoast,
Who did you buy your pro-form pipe from?

Did it come with the Silencer?

What is the outside diameter of the stinger?

Thanks,
Darrell
