• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Here is Rd 7 only 3 more to go I finally HURT the Husky 300 about 3 miles from the finish the rod bearing cage said I have had enough. So the 2010 Bone Stock motor Husky 300 bottom end lasted from 2010 to May of 2014. I have done every National for over 4 years won a # 1 plate and finished many other races so it was time. I had planned to rebuild it this week but came up 3 miles short. The cly and piston are ok just the rod bearing . What can you say other then tuff.
OK Mr Walt lets see you fix it and get me another 4 years


This area is a great place to ride it is about 150 miles north East of Las Vegas we went from about 3,500 feet to up close to 8,000
you can hear the motor never missed a beat. Must be the old stock carb with stock jetting along with the CR electronics

I'm not surprised on your Husqvarna ... I've never had a Husky go belly up on me really and have missed about zero rides on my Huskies in the last decade due to bike breakage .. I just read about that stuff from other people here. Not surprised on the CARB either ... They worked for ~90 yrs on about every engine type in the world?

Good luck on the final 3 rounds and on the bike rebuild ..
 
Over 4 year of hard racing and it finally breaks a rod bearing cage that is a long time At the Nationals we have raced from below Sea Level down by the Mexican border to over 8,000 in Uhta We race from below freezing in the snow to up to 100 degrees in the desert . We race rain or shine I have not seen any other race serious that goes to and rides in so many different types of areas and weather conditions I still believe to win a National Hare and Hound OVERALL title makes you one of the best riders in the world period

Your videos show alot on how tough the courses are and all that high RPM time on the engine...I could probably finish a race or two but no way I could do an entire season out there ... My hats off to you guys ...
