  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Video: A Great Birthday Day!

My goal is to get to check out some of these incredible places someday; but it looks like a Rekluse and weight-lifting regimen are in order

Looks like you ride a 310. I have also taken my TE310 up there and it does just fine without a Rekluse (although nice to have) - just ride the trails and do what is comfortable to you. I enjoy pushing my comfort level and push myself to get better. You would enjoy this part of the country: Trask, Willamina, and Browns Camp for sure.

I'm the guy in the video trying to pull him up that 2ft vertical rootball, while holding the GoPro camera...

Check out my rediculous loss of control on my WR125, earlier that day! First time riding woodsy trails on my 2-stroke Husky... I learned a lot. Quickly.

I think the small bores tend to loop worse than the enduro specific 300 bikes - especially the WR300 with heavy crank and flywheel. I had a well jetted KTM 200 that like to loop with my 250 lb. butt on the saddle. Quick clutch stab and throttle chop brought wheel down. Gotta be quick with that clutch. :naughty::banana:

Yep. Gotta keep one finger on the clutch.

I installed a fresh clutch cable last night and got it adjusted nicely... I will focus on clutch control on the next ride. Thanks for the input guys... I'm used to my SM610, which is a completely different animal. :)
