• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Nice VIDDY!!
John that's the issue I have with 50A status....ex pros are are perfectly within their rights to sign as 50A (40A too), thats a tuff one for us ammie to A guys, the speed difference is ....well alot, Ive had LR (legally a 50A rider) pass/lap me at various events for one example. And you lined up with former Nat pros.... (but thats also the cool factor of the expert class, and if they fall or DNF you can claim victory over a "name" rider.). Truth is when's the last time your stick and ball fans got to take the field with some of their sports heros in actual competition???

I was just talking about entering these ISDE's with a buddy this morning and how we thought moving to older classes would make results EZer, no way. Makes it much harder as all that is left in the 40/50 EX classes are the older tough ex pros. Also being 48 puts me at the old end of the 40ex class making it even more of an uphill battle. Does not matter for me as I race for fun but the fact remains the older A / Ex classes are harder and faster the older you get. Just weeds out the slower guys.

next time go faster jon or instead of cherring and waiving you on like a maniac im tossing mud clodds at you! hahahaha braaap mreeep!

yep to motosportz and ajax, 40+ open, 50+ open and in our local 2013 BORCS series 45+ open, alot of smaller race clubs have no skill level breakdown in the vet/sen/ssen classes at all they cant because of the smaller amount of entries.
In the Nat game I'm a very competitive podium contender in the B class (Int), I made my own own bed to start 13 as an A and step up with all you big dogs. And yes the whole thing is about having fun and finishing but most of all about participating and being challenged by the course.

That looks like too much fun John. Wish I could have been there to watch and dream of years gone by.

Definitely the hard part about the older classes is that you think you might have a chance but what really happens is all those guys you couldn't beat when you were young you still can't beat now that you are old. :D Having fun is the key!

Signed up 50A Got to ride with a bunch of really fast guys.Even a few past National champs Had a great time

Great riding and that track looks cool ...Downhills might be a little hairy but all that sand looks like a soft landing if ya go down ... I'm sure you know that fast in early yrs of riding normally means fast in the later yrs also ..And vise-versa ...

Thanks for posting riding on a legendary track most of us will never see or ride on ...
