• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

VCMC AMA D37 Enduro (Qualifier rules-FIM style)

Thanks guys, that helps a lot.
Maybe I'll come down an watch one. Did that for the GP's and thought it looked like fun.

I don't mind the competition and enjoy riding, do pretty good for an old timer. My concern with single track is that it's difficult to pass so faster riders run over you, knock you off the trail, break stuff.

note: with the posted format that VCMC/ ride chec has for this event it limits bottle necks,
AA/pro first minutes, A riders next series of minutes, Bs on down the line... etc, plus with one minute take off intervals it spreads out the riders. In the Nat format, AAs were lined up behind us and had to pass us but in this VCMC set up they have the fast guys up front to balance it out and to keep things flowing better.

Robert I looked for you but did not see you all day. What a great weeken I did the Sat. Family enduro
on the 125 but figured the 300 would be the better bike on sunday. I think i did well did all three loops and never stalled the 300. Starting on min #2 i got passed by Nic on his 450 alot after every check point.
Loop 3 was the best with the short waterfall section, Grumpy was also in there taking pictures.
Did you see all the Husky out on the Carlsbad track looks like the dealer meeting went well also.I got done at 3 so i stopped by at the meeting to say hi to a few of the dealers.Maybe some one will post up a report on the dealer meeting.I also am waiting to see the all the videos of the track

John, I looked for you also, and I did finally see you (N2) as I was driving back down the hill, dang I was just heading down to the Husky dealer demo to say hey, plus I was tired. My apologies for not stopping in.
Epic day! The 08 TXC450 finishes another one in good order. The ending of L3 special test was just very cool that whole waterfall, rock squeeze, drop was super scenic and fun. PS if you didn't get off ribbon at that huge rock with the little fallen tree, you may have beat Nic's SP time for that one (I did). Also of note for us old guys LR was really on the gas on his 11 TE310 and was posting SP times right in the top level if not just little slower than the young lads. Cant wait for the results/photos and videos. Beau from ProMoto.tv had a bunch of cams working the event.
(oh yea only one real crash all day in the bowling ball rock pile, front hit a bigger model bowling ball and just went away in a flash, got settled and rode off)
