• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

VCHSS Round 7- Time for revenge!

Gotlabs

Husqvarna
AA Class
After a horrible experience at the previous race, I knew I needed to refresh and have fun again. I had talked it over with my wife and decided that I was taking this racing stuff WAY too seriously and thought that is why I was struggling (This is only my second full year of racing and only my third year of riding a dirt bike, believe me when I say I've put a lot of time into my riding and training).

So I felt no pressure on the line, I honestly didn't care if I was last off the line this time. I still managed to get 4th or 5th into the woods, only to get stuck behind two guys in my class on a easy little log crossing. I rolled through scoring on the 1st lap in 8th place, surprisingly I wasn't disappointed. I managed to pass 3 guys in my class when one of the same dudes at the log xing piled it up in a turn and took out the other 2. I felt awesome, bike felt like a factory ride I was singing and flowing along like I didn't have a care in the world! I soon realized I was passing guys like they were stopped and came through scoring in 4th on the next lap. I still told myself "Have fun and relax, don't be stupid" so I just kept flowing along. I soon caught the leader, all 4 of us were literally wheel to wheel for the last lap! So close in fact that the 2nd place dude wrecked and 3rd place dude ran into him before he stopped moving on the ground! And I ran into the 3rd place dude! It was freaking awesome!!! We quickly caught back up to the leader, I made a pass into 2nd but couldn't make a clean pass to 1st and had to finish bridesmaid on the leaders back wheel.

Thanks to my sponsors- Smith Optics, Gaerne, EVS, Cycra, FMF, Twin Air, DeCal Works and Pirelli.

RESULTS!

In the end, I had a blast and found my "fun" again. Maybe it was because my daughter won both of her races that day.....in minis and the adult class. Too bad she won them on her pumpkin.....

Apparently this is 'next time'...Congrats...

Much better! Smooth is your new style and it may be a winner...

And again for 'Racer Lady' Great Job:thumbsup:

Good for you! I often feel too uptight and serious too. I need to relaxxxxx and remember it doesn't pay money to race so it must be for fun!
