AA Class
Round 6 didn't go well for me, but my daughter's finish made up for it. I managed to pull the hole shot, and the bike refused to turn shortly there after which caused me to crash. Now, last in my class, I caught my riding buddy fairly quickly and was trying to make a pass on him and realized my bike was JNF'd. I couldn't get traction, backend was kicking and bucking, front was plowing through turns. I was stuck in 1st and 2nd gear since anything faster was scaring me. I ended up calling it quits halfway through the 3rd lap, I just didn't feel safe. My daughter talked smack all the way home about quitting, I am a big advocate of not quitting just because something is tough or difficult. No points for this race, bummer.

I realized what was wrong on the way home. I had taken a Raines Racing class the weekend prior and we adjusted the sag to 90ish mm. I got home, and rode the bike on my test track and it was acting the same as it was at the race. I put the sag back to 110ish mm and tried it again, VOILA! My old Husky was back!
My daughter, on the other hand, raced her CR144 for the first time at this same locale and managed a 5th place finish (After she raced the mini race that morning). Not bad since I begged her to just cruise and get use to the bike (she only had about 2hrs of seat time on it prior to the race) since the suspension was brutally stiff for her weight even with the clickers at max soft. She did as requested at the start, but still came out mid pack, only to follow my footsteps and crash. She was in last when I first saw her, but soon made some passes to move up the ranks.
RESULTS!
Her only complaint was suspension was too rough, "It felt like riding a jackhammer through the woods" as she put it. I'll be getting it resprung/revalved during our summer break so she will be ready to go for August!
My pride and joy! (not the bike)
This pic makes me look fast!
