• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cory Graffunder won the qualifier easily. Nick stopped on his first lap to help his friend Mat Henderson who was stuck in the mud. They weren't able to get the bike out. Nick continued and on his second lap while in the top ten on steep up hill that was clogged with rider Nick tried to create another line and near the top looped out his bike. When he went to pick up his bike the bars were busted. Unable to continued Nick helped Mat get his bike unstuck. It took two come-a-longs. Nick said it was pouring rain.

not a fun place to be when its wet...its a very dry place usually predictable

The area is very arid desert sand/clay type substrate...but we have had an odd year for excessive rainfall....when too much moisture is on the ground it turns to something like quicksand.....and its a horrible slippery goo...it will stop a bike dead in its tracks

first time I rode there after a heavy rain.....I tried to wheelie through a rut with some muck in the bottom....it was like I hit a wall :banghead:

another update

Cory wins on his Husky TC250. Weather improved and the course got easier to get around. Although mud holes took their toll on many racers.

Erzberg
The Tough One
Romaniacs
Roof of Africa
Last Man Standing
Hell's Gate
...and now Xtinction (very cool)

I love watching all the extreme enduros including the US Endurocross more than Supercross. Trials is right up there as well.

This was the battle for the lead after six laps.
