• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm running the Motoz from Australia and love them. if not those I like a M59 Bridgestone front and Kenda Trackmaster rear. Deep woods riding.

Tires preference is a very personal choice and depends on many factors.
Terrain, riding ability, type of bike, weather condition etc.
Dunlop D756 seems to be a very popular off road tire.
Motoz from Australia are sold in the States by
Motosportz.(along with a lot of other goodie). And is fast becoming a #1 choice amount riders. Have not try them yet but would like to.

I'm running a Maxxas M7311 Maxxcross SI Front (love that tire).
and a Kenda K270 Dual Sport in the rear (Almost a trials tire) sidewall
flex is a bit much on the dual tracks stuff and high speeds but predictable in tighter single track.
These tires are on a TE510 that is 90% S/T stuff but every once in awhile I gotta hit the D/T and open her up. :busted:

I like the Dunlop D756 on the rear for it's versatility and wear. I switch the front out to match the particular terrain I'm riding. Right now I have a D773 on the front for soft/sand conditions.

The Maxxis SIs are probably the best value today. They work great in most conditions and are quite a bit cheaper than a Michelin or Dunlop (in Canada anyhow).

If I am feeling rich, I will slap a set of Pirelli XCs on my bike. I really like them but I can get 3 Maxxis for the price of 2 Pirellis.

If you like the Michelin Pat, try the Metzeler 6 day extreme's. Better £ and as good if not better tyre!
