• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Big Thanks to fellow Cafe Husky Inmates (Krieg for one) for guiding me and to the expert service at Decal Works ("Moto" Matt Sheldon) for getting me dialed in.

My scratch and dent floor/trail/ rocks model 2008 TXC450 is wearing a nice clean new (pre-print) graphics package. Fit and finish is 10 of 10. I left off the the shroud graphics because my shrouds have the in-mold graphics, I will save them for selling the bike time. (photos and more details to follow) RN

Oh that's just so not fair.....

I'm actually doin' my own at home...from # plate background scraps. Almost done too!

I was working on the 97 RM125 with graphic table scraps yesterday too. Just got the Japanese gal 99% back together after the "PV" rod and attaching hardware/components mishap and wanted to get her looking better as well as the working better side. Have fotos of the TXC with her new clothes just gotta down/upload them to my photobucky, she is as clean is will ever be and maxima maximized with sc1 shine spray.

Ya for real! You can't start a thread about how awesome your bike looks and not have pics. Tisk tisk tisk.

Dood- that bike has evolved! I remember when ya first got it!
Time for an Uptite bashplate my friend.

the tie down thing is just because I have them semi permanantly attached to the trailer for 2 bike loading, so with one I sling them all on. Looks like overkill for sure, but there is no kill like overkill.
Nope on the Alloy snow shovel plate, she had a CRD alloy plate from the start, but after going to the Hyde I will stick with the plastics. It just feels better, for me its noticable in chassis feel and noise stress.
I left off the matching shroud decals and stuck with the embedded oem things, gorilla tape on the left shroud to keep it together, and my usual gorilla tape at the shroud to rad conveyer joint is not on at the moment. I know if I put the shroud graphics on they last a month and get rubbed off from my knees or peeled off from bushes.
side note report still happy with the non-current txc model, with its standard chassis set up (LTR suspension) and fresh motor with C/b shaft, JD jetting, and both Power nows, note the oem stock pipe with dB end, quiet and keeps the power manageable for trail/enduro riding. collector pipe is dented from a mex ride, it was a wedge rock type deal and I got caught up/leg trapped and slowly tipped into a sharp out crop, was super angry about that. sharpen my pegs, dont like those sort of safety ends on them I ground in more teeth much better control.

note zipty high back chain slider and zipty case guard, 7602 carb vent filter, uptite pipe guard(cracked but zip tied), motosportz front axle nut , pirelli scorpion pro fim enduro rubber......on the rear anyway the front is current a scorpion MX mid soft that did only a couple laps of glen helen at the gp, yea I grabbed a MXGP team throw away tire.

Looking good! Thanks for the pics. She definitely looks battle ready with all your "experience mods".
