• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TXC250 in San Diego garage all ready

robertaccio

Husqvarna
Pro Class
TXC250,,,,,one of Cafe members has the first one that hit SanDiego in his garage all ready!! Hmm maybe I can ride that thing!!?????

Well...rode for about an hour and a half today. Just part one in my break in ride. Couple more hours before I crack the throttle.

All I can say is WOW:D

Lots of potential....IMO, with this little 250f. The bike starts up real easy, both e-button and kick. I am taking it easy on the motor, but I can tell already that she spools up real quickly....I think this motor will earns its money in the mid to top end range. I have also experienced the low end bog/hesitation that others have posted on in another thread...but again, I am breaking it in, going easy on the throttle.

I have only riden it in the competition mode, sparky removed and my dealer put in on the EFI tuner and checked the parameters, adjusted it etc. To sum it up...I like the motor.

The tranny shifting is smooth as silk. I think first gear will be perfect for us west coast folks. It is a little high, but I think we generally have faster flowing trails in the west.

Turning: WOW****************************************, super light feel side to side. It turns great and goes where you want it to go...You can get up on the seat/tank and it feels like you are up over the bike..which to me translates to good turning. Flickable and responsive to rider input.

Brakes: Super strong.

I already did some stuff on this bike today that I would not have even attempted on my 06 TC 510. A couple of short vertical climbs in a DG pit near my casa. This bike inspires confidence.....Husky hit the bullseye with this bike...:applause:

Mitch.

Congrats Mitch on your new bike it sounds great and after seeing one in person they look awsome too.
