  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK i picked up a used but in real good shape 2010 husky txc250 for BC woods riding ( the TC449 Rips my arms off or stalls and gets hot to easy )

the first ride was awesome its what im looking for so i bought it. 2nd ride more the same.
Did a oil and filter change yesterday new oiled up air filter checked the coolant looks good.
Take her for a rip today shes a bit of a B*tch to start 5 kicks or so ( E Start broken parts on the way) Anyways shes goes fine for the first 30-40 minutes just enough to get myself out there and she all of a sudden dies. Thinking it was me stalling it i give it a couple kicks and nothing, couple more nothing .. Bump start it is then, she fires up, away i go only to cut out again. Same thing bump start and away i go. Once again she stalls ok time to head home. Stall and stall after stall and she runs for a minute or so and stalls out. Im way up out and around a mtn finally after some help i find a short cut out to the truck and limp her home.

Call a buddy he tells me its got to be fuel related drain the tank drain the line to the injector put it all back together with new gas she fires but stalls out again? IM thinking Electrical might be the battery as it turns on and the JD tuner turns on as well only to cut out 30 seconds later? Now after all that i can't seem to get it to kick start at all and i live on flat land so i haven't tried the bump start again. PLug Maybe ? ECU ?

Common on who's got this ? seems easy enough but im a rookie and you guys rock

Retrace all the work you did with the oil change and filter clean.
Pull the plug and check for fat, blue spark.
When it's hot and dies, do you hear the fuel pump priming and does it sound strong and normal, like when the bike is cold?

My two cents...buddy was over a few weeks back and we did regular maintenance in the garage..oil change/air filter etc. He rushed the cleaning, drying and proper filter oil drytime....end result...similar situations...starving for air..start but bog/stall etc....a simple fix could be your airfilter is too wet/too oiled up? This would be an easy troubleshoot...hope that's all it is ;)
