  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Twin system onto a TE510 ?

Gents,

Am trying to buy the Twin FMF Ti system on here. Is to go on my TE510 2005. What would i do about left side panel and the 2nd exhaust ?

Probably the same basic install that a couple of us with 2008 SMR's have done to get quiet duals (without killing performance), except on the opposite side.

I bought an 09 plate and made a exhaust hanger out of passenger peg brackets... I think I photo'd it somewhere on here or SMJ.

Thanks mate. Seller has gone quite and i think import costs then rejetting/dyno time takes the full system out of the discussion for me at the moment.

Then I'll jump in and support your decision by saying I think it is for the best that you not do this mod. ;)I don't see a clear benifit, especially on a TE. Adding weight and complexity for what? MXrider has an 09 SM and converted from dual stock set up to a single FMF set up- That makes more sence to me. Of course, I think from an offroad perspective so forgive me if I am overlooking any benifit if you intended to SM your TE. But if I had a SM I'd rather have a single- Sound can be adjusted with xxhaust inserts- purchased or fabricated; without completely changing the whole exhaust set up or type of system.
