• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

The product is called Tuggers and seems like something that I'll get use out of.

The attachment point for the front is a simple z buckle around the forks.

The attachment for the rear depends on the bike but for the Husky I went with a type one which uses the seat bolts. Burt was quite generous as he wasn't sure it would work with my husky 610 so he just sent me one to see if it works so they could add it to the fitment list. Here's the attach point. Yes the strap anchors are going to rub the plastic a little........ it's a dirtbike, get over it.

For the size bolt the TE610 takes the only thing I might suggest is a collar to size it down and prevent any slop. I did add a washer just cause I thought it might help, but is likely not needed.

A close up of what I'd suggest get choked down. Again, not what I would consider an issue right off. If it sees tons of use maybe but I doubt it.

I have one on the back, but honestly I find I rarely use it, more often the PMB rack is a better choice.

Also George at uptite said that sometimes the inserts in the frame can pull out and it should be through-bolted.

I like it though, it looks cool, makes a great bungie attachment and it is sometimes useful.
 
I have a rear one on my CRF450X because there is nothing to grab. I didn't get one for the front because I can use my handlebars. I have used it many times and it works.
 
Thanks for the info, I just ordered two sets, one for each bike. I can't count the number of times I have needed these while scouting or setting up my clubs race course, or just moving the bike around in the back of the truck. My Yamaha has some pretty roomy hand holds under the rear of the seat, but the Husky, there is just about nothing and I'm always thinking I am going to snap the rear fender off if I grab it in the wrong spot.

I came on to see what's up with the LED headlight, I guess that upgrade will be waiting a little longer.
