• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Anyone using this system.
I am interested to reduce the wheel/suspension sluggishness from all the xtra unsprung weight of running XHD tubes in my bike. I would run slime in the tires as well as the tubliss system to guard against cactus spine tire punctures. I know this has beeen posted I just cant find it, any info, both pros cons would be great, thanks.
 
I've used them. Front and rear. Many praise them. Me, ehhh. I could take them or leave them. I honestly did not notice any earth shattering weight savings and I'm pretty sensitive to the bike's setup. YMMV.

I'm curious about them as well. I looked thru as many baja setup threads i could find, and never came up with any mentions of the TuBliss system.

How about some Motoz desert tires and TuBliss system for Baja? Bueno, or Sin Bueno?
 
Hey BentAero, I'm using them and I have a front I no longer want. I'll be at the SETRA Enduro in NC this weekend if you want it.

I noticed a difference immediately. The bike does feel lighter due to the decreased spinning mass. The front wheel wants to come up off the ground a little more and won't stay exactly where I want it so I've stopped using it on the front. That and I got a cut in the front tire and got a flat. It also seemed to deflect off square edged stuff more when using the tubliss system. I like it on the rear and am still using it on the rear. I'm using an extra HD tube up front.

let me know if you want that used front I have.
 
I am running both front and rear with Motoz Tracula's, I had a little trouble getting the bead to pop out on the rear. They won't hold air until the bead is out, I put a lot of air in the rear to get it pop. They have been holding air great only lost 2 psi in two weeks. I do make sure the inner liner is at 110psi before each ride.

I don't notice the weight too much, but being able to run a lower psi really helps in the loose stuff I ride in. I am just tired of tubes, plus they are getting expensive. I have not put slime in yet, going too. It will be nice just to carry the plug&go kit to fix a flat.

Plugging a hole, pumping it up and go is sweet. I felt the weight difference but more importantly enjoy tuning the pressure to suit the tire, terrain and feel instead of to prevent pinch flats.

Silicone on the red inner and soapy water on the bead/rim sealed up first try for me. I run the inners at 100psi check them every ride, tire doesn't lose air for weeks now.

Arod, did you do the tire pressure play (@std 13psi) and reset your fork comp/rebound? Less (with tubliss) unsprung mass means more suspension sensitivity.
I like the idea of this but need to do the slime inside the tire for the cactus spine issue here, plus I run low TP most of the time 9-12 r 10-13F even in the dez.
I got back onto this kick after doing alot of very tight single track lately and my bike bike was slugglish feeling both in turn in and from the suspension action. Anyway thanks for the inputs, I will give it a shot, but it will wait until the 10 season.
 
Yeah, I did all tire pressures and adjusted the clickers (even compression clickers, which I rarely touch). Now the thing would turn like a cat on carpet when I ran 7psi but it didn't like sharp edge bumps. The fact that the front wheel would come up off the ground easier was the main reason I switched back to the heavier tube. I'm not dying to sell it. I think if I revalved the forks they'd work better with it. But they work great with the HD tube...I just don't want to try and fix what ain't broke ya know?
 
love them so far, run both front and rear with no slime. Snapped off a rear spoke so I have a little air loss. I would go thru a front tube every 10-15 hrs. My rimlock would chafe a hole in tube. Not fun changing tube in forest. I like to run my psi below 10lbs and below now,I do get some pings on the rocks if Im on the gas,but so far the rims are still round. For the price of a HD tube every 2 months gets expensive, so I believe(hope) these tubliss will out survive and out perform tubes. Super easy to install too
