As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
BTW I am running a Kenda 270 on my CR250 husky for summer riding and like it. Run it at 6-8 psi and it works great and is very robust. It actually seems to work better as is wears. Lasts a LONG time. I also took my 4" cut off wheel and "siped" the knobs and really think it helped. Real good tire for general semi dry use.
I do perpendicular. I think it allows the Knob to open up and grip better in wet hard conditions. It's supposed to run cooler too. Might be snake oil...
Do you have any pictures? I'm intrigued.
The MT-43 is a tire in respect that it's round and black. It does get pretty good traction as long as it's driving forward and no mud is involved, but put the brakes on and it turns into a slick on wet pavement. I personally find this tire dangerous. If you're going to run a trials tire (MT-43 really isn't) I'd recommend the Dunlop 803 with a 140/80 Bib mousse
Golden Tire GT216AA The last front tire you will ever buy. What FRONT tire would be a good match for the MotoZ Mountain Hybrid on the rear?
note: I do more intermediate mx type fast single track stuff and like still hitting turns and burms along with bumbling through mildly rocky trails too.

Nice. I read Chilly's review on that one, had it in the back of my mind for sure. Good to know. Thanks, Duane
