• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who is coming. I hear I am on row 15. I see that WAY TOO TALL Rik Smits is on row 16. Rik is a former NBA Center for the Indy Pacers. 7'4". Rik has a spot on the Dutch ISDE team in Finland this year.

Have ridden with Rik....good rider....and he loves his Huskys (As well as old Maicos)

I parked next to Rik at 2003 ISDTRR and got to ride some with him that weekend. I had to help him zip tie his wheel bearing in to keep going on Day 1. He's a very determined guy!

I was down there riding the national rails a few weeks ago (a great vacation). You guys are gonna have a REALLY good ime.
Enjoy.

I remember when he played BB and would have never guessed this guy was on a bike riding at this level ... Just another wild&crazy EU guy apparently ...

Rik says he can come if there isn't a conflict with his Son's Basketball games. He really supports the boy. OH, His son is 14 years old and 6'5" ! He is still growing ************************************************************************************************************************!!! Rik says he hopes he gets to 7' ! Rik rode GNCC last year and I think got 2nd in class for the year.

It is a long weekend in Canada and Pike season opens. I am taking a pass on Arkansas, but I have pre-entered all the remaining rounds except for WY.

You gonna miss a great event. I love riding this Enduro. Similar to the NATRA (Rad Dad) Enduro in Tenn but better.

I have heard it is a good one, but I am having a hard time driving 18hrs for an enduro when I can ride excellent trails an hr away from home.

I will have to drive further than that several times this year. Pa. Nat'l., Mi. Nat'l (Jackpine), and the AHRMA 2 Day Vintage Qualifier , Rose City , Mi. . I will just say that you will regret missing a great ride.

I'd love to go. I had a blast at Rad Dad (but I was on row 7). Who knows, I may end up bumming a ride and show up....if it isn't sold out. SETRA season just ended and I'm kinda beat after doing 21 of 24 races so a weekend at the lake would be nice too.

For anyone didn't follow basketball in the 90's, Rik wasn't just an NBA player, he was the best of the best. He was an All Star at least once and he played in the NBA finals along side Reggie Miller. He was a great team player, did his role very well. I've seen him at a few GNCC's and I believe he was on a KTM 525 which he made look tiny. And people give me a hard time about me making a bike look small!!

wont make it. Broke hand this wkend. Caught fingers on a limb and folded them back, shattering 2 metacarples on lft hand. Damnit
