• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Finally received my $3000 worth of Trailtech stuff.

- Halogen X2 headlights with husky graphics

- HID X2 headlights with husky graphics

- 100 watt stators for TXC and TC's

- heavy duty rec/regulators (direct plug in and bolt on)

- Vector computers (very nice with temp gages and everything)

I will have them on the site soon but if you want stuff ASAP Email me at sales@motosportz.com

I took 2 bikes over the TT and had them look at them and figure out what will work. I also had them make Husky specific graphics and installation instructions. Motosportz is the only place to get Husky specific TT stuff with the instructions you need. We went out of our way to support the husky community the right way.

thanks all,
Kelly

The head light - available in both Halogen and HID. Running this setup on my TE/SM610 and LOVE it. Very bright even at 70+ mph. NOT DOT though.

100 watt DC Stator to power lights. I have this installed in my TXC450, works great. We developed some instructions to make it EZer to install in huskys. This is basically the same Stator they use in KTM's but it is a bolt it. The tricky part is removing and installing the wires through the rubber grommet on the case cover. Wiring it up is explained and we took pictures so you can see which wires / what color etc.

What blows my mind is the price of the Eclipse X2 in halogen... that is the "smokin' deal of the day" for what you get, compared to other brands of products.

The HID is a sweet piece, and well worth the money, but that halogen price, considering the typical quality of Traitech products, just amazes me... I was sure it would be well over $100.

I don`t like yours

jokes :D

Plain backgrounds are also available.
How do I order a plain background Eclipse X2 halogen headlight?
Will it have a white shell?
What is the price? ($79.95?)
How many watts does each halogen light use?

I think you misspelled Eclipse on the order page :excuseme:

Email Motosportz for a custom order. I can get several shell colors. Yes on price. 2 x 35 watts = 70 watt total draw.

Are there any photos of this cosmetic combo on an 08 TE?

What type of mechanism is used for beam adjustment of the two HIDs?

I'll post some pix after i was my bike. No individual adjustment just the lower bracket is slotted. I found the coverage so good little adjustment was necessary.

So do the HIDs just plug in to the harness? Is there a way to turn both of them off?

No, comes with both plugs to wire in so once you wire it in it is connectorised for removal if necessary. There are three leads, ground and one for each light. You can wire it anyway you want. I have mine wired to my stock switch on my 610 so i can turn them on and off individually. On my TXC I wired a aftermarket switch which is also from Trailtech and integrates the kill switch in so you do swap bar space (remove the kill switch). Make sense?
