• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Looking to fit a Trail Tech Vector to my TE since the stock speedo just annoys the heck out of me.

Husky aren't listed (no surprise there) on the Trail Tech site so has anybody fitted the generic inverted fork model ? Any other model fit the TE mebbe ?

Cheers....

Keep me posted on this because I'm thinking about going to the "race wiring harness" and will have to do this to stay street legal.

I've been looking at it a little and it looks like it should be easy on a TE.

Thanks.

I actually ordered mine from here and they now (they didn't till I contacted them and they added the Husky version to their list) have a Husky application.

I had a voucher to use up and the guy who owns (part-owns ?) the site is a Husky rider.

And an authorized Trailtech dealer if I'm not mistaken. I'd bet Kelly fine tooth combed Trailtech's business operations and products before he signed on to sell their stuff.

Well that and they are 10 minutes away and I have known the owner for years. :D

Well, I finally got round to trying to fit the Vector today. I was hoping to use the same mount the stock speedo is fitted to but I really couldn't find a way.

Has anyone fitted a Vector (or any Trail Tech computer for that matter) to a TE ? Got any pics ?

Cheers

Have seen it on f2g's 08 TE450 with the armored housing, don't know what it took to get there but definitely possible and he didn't mention anything extraordinary to adapt.

Any chance you could ask (or have him/her post) ? Some pics would be very nice.

I finally got of my ass to fit the Vector over the weekend.

I really wanted to use the mounting plate the stock speedo is fitted to if possible. I tried to just fit the Vector but nothing seemed to work so I finally bought the protector and mount from Kelly.

I wasn't sure if I had enough room to drill the 3 holes in the protector so I put some long bolts in the stock speedo so I could see if I had enough room

Turns out I had plenty of room
