  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Trade IMS Tank for stock BLACK WR250 Tank

I think the 125 and 250 tanks are identical. Are you sure yours is a 2006? The lower shrouds and tank should be a dark grey.
See: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/2006/husqvarna/wr/125/pictures/21542/05/

Looks like my spare tank is a 2005 tank off of a 4 stroke (TE/TC 250, 450, 510), also used on the same models in 2006 according to this pdf from Halls: http://www.halls-cycles.com/images/PDF/Husqvarna .PDFs/2006/2006-DOHC-Husky-parts.pdf

My spare tank shows:
Part number: 80A0 A4275 (8000 A4275)
Molded lettering shows: MY05

It appears to be an exact match to the tank that is mounted on my bike, with the exception of the color. My '06 tank on my bike is in fact gray. I haven't had a chance to check the part number of the gray tank on my bike but I'm guessing it is the correct factory stock tank for my '06 WR125.

Let's trade! When can you send? I can send mine out tomorrow.

That would be great! I should be able to get it shipped tomorrow.

I'll message you my address info, and you can do the same.

And just an FYI, my spare black tank does not have a petcock, but does include the gas cap. Hopefully that is not a deal breaker.

Thanks! -Ed

I have a 2013 WR 300. I have been looking for a larger tank. I ride mostly enduros and always on the edge of making the gas stops. Even trade?

I am in Jacksonville, FL and the sand down here take a lot of fuel. Even with the AS carb. The old TMX was way worst. I also do some dual sport and really need the larger tank then for sure.
