  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

TPS spec for TE511 2013 model

So just a quick update.
was at one dealer near my place... Could not fix it. No experience with the HST tool. WTF !!!
Went to another one. Fixed it the second day. SO he says. But will see when i Pick up. At least he talked like he knew whats going on.

But on the other hand, i remembered that i had some German Backpackers at my place living .
One of them'd Dad is working as a Developer and test Engineer at " BMW MOTORRAD " . Ihelped the Girls here in OZ to get there Car going again a few weeks ago. Now as i remembered , i thought its not gonna hurt to ask the Questions to a BMW Guy about the G450 Engine and its Keihein Throttle Body and other things.
Several e.mails OZ to Germany and back , i finally received the mails straight from BMW and the guys who were working on the Bikes and also with Husky when they took over....

So i like the result out of it. Got some new infos and a few things i am going to test.

here the spec's for the TPS

Hauptdrosselklappe
Rmax = 5kOhm
0,04V pro Grad
Nullstellung 0,7V

Sekundärdrosselklappe
Rmax = 5kOhm
0,04V pro Grad

Nullstellung 1,1V

In German ........:banana:

keep you guys updated.

Great info to have fished out 9880sts. :applause: Thanks for posting it up.

Hopefully your bike will be scorching along real soon again.

For the non-Germans among us.

The 1st spec is the Primary Tps-

Hauptdrosselklappe
Rmax = 5kOhm
0,04V pro Grad

Nullstellung 0,7V

(Fully closed (idle) = 0.7v +/- 0.02v , 0.04v per degree of movement increase

Second spec is Secondary (FBW) throttle -

Sekundärdrosselklappe
Rmax = 5kOhm
0,04V pro Grad

Nullstellung 1,1V

Electric butterfly pushed fully closed againsts stop = 1.1v +/- 0.02v

From these readings (off a G450X), if the TEs are set up similar in the maps, having the TPS set at 0.4-0.5v or similar would make them lean around the idle mark, bringing the TPS forward to that 0.7v would likely cure a flameout situation.....

That's what worked for my TE449.:cheers:
