  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A Class
gonna go ahead and rebuild the top end on my 01 cr125 (125 cause i can't afford the 165 right now). reason being it's hard to crank (even with the lectron installed) and i don't know the last time it was rebuilt. what items do i need to order to achieve the top end rebuild? weisco piston kit, gasket kit, rod, bearing, ect?? just wanna make sure i got everything i need before breaking her down.

the full weisco kit comes with everything you need. Base gasket, piston, ring, clips, rod bearing, head o-rings, etc.

I searched this site and found your 01 125 http://www.wiseco.com/ProductSearch.aspx
Make sure you have all the parts and drain the coolant prior, I haven't yet, but others have emptied the coolant into the crankcase on disassembly.

just double checked myself and it was only the piston, sorry.

so since there is no full kit available is this all i need? Base gasket, piston, ring, clips, rod bearing, head o-rings?? also wondering if lean jetting would affect my bike cranking? like i said, lectron is installed and the plug is white (very little tan) how much turning to get rich enough?

Cometic gasket kit- C7734 Wiseco piston kit-760M05400 Wiseco wrist pin bearing-B1001 and if you have v-force 2 reeds pedal kit-3P602H, Also check the lower connecting rod bearing side to side with feeler gauge and check for any up and down play or roughness in the bearing.
