  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I may have to sell my wr150 to buy a house and my wr360 project has any one on CH had to sell a new 150 and what did they get for it? The worst part is when I go to get a new one next year it won't be anything like this one. Thanks in advance for any help.

I really did not expect a 'how much is my bike worth' question from the title. Thought is was going to be the loss of a child or other loved one, or possibly major medical event. No offense meant.

Used dirt bikes are always bad for retaining value. Condition, modifications, local market, local dealer ...can all have an impact.

I sold a new pickup to buy a house 7 years ago, then the value of the house plummeted. I could have bought 20 WR150s for what I've lost on the house  (if I could sell it). Its just money and stuff, if the house makes for a happy family so be it.
Know your priorities.

Hmmm. Sell my dirtbike to buy a house . I wouldn't call that a worst problem. Seems like a no brainer.

Yes it will be great to buy a house but it will suck to get rid of one of the best handling bikes I've ever had. Wanted a post that would catch peoples eye not peoples opinion on house vs bike. Both are very important for my sanity. The worst part is the 2014 will probably be a blue ktm so who knows what I will end up with.

seen a used 144 go for around 4 grand a few months ago it had quite a few improvements though. Really depends on your area I guess. Husky's are pretty rare over here.

Well, I sold my 09 wr144 with feracci cr digital ignition and ltr revalve suspension for $2000. Probably could have got more but I didn't want to mess around.
