• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

instead of around you.
By god was there one today.
The snow was thawing yet it seemed colder today and there was nowhere to hide from it out in the Fens.

Long green lanes that are rutted but you cant see them even though the snow was pretty much wet slush.

Stopped for a chat with a lad i know in his rather trick (one of them, he has a few) Land Rover. Even he was having trouble justifying being out and he had a heater :D

The water ways are still frozen for all its thawing.

Bit of a wind break so i could have a smoke :D

Here seemed a good idea (My local) as i was sopping wet from the slush and it was so unpredictable out there with the hidden ruts, ice, slush etc. Still good to be out on the bike though. :D

This was actually a road. The wind had blown the snow off the fields onto it.

Anyway, just a little bimble :D

Nice photos! That Land Rover is way cool!

So, what's with the Five Bells Free House? What is a Free House?
It looks like a nice place.

A Free House is basically a pub that can sell any beer it wants. Its not owned by a brewery if you see what i mean????
Anyway, just a local affair today, all within 5 miles of my house, the pub a few hundred yards from my house :)
I still cant get used to how flat it is around where i live now. Luckily my family etc are still back in Wales so its easy enough to get out back home kind of thing.
Well have some more interesting pics next weekend hopefully :)

Hard core GBRob :applause:

I hate to say it but it looks like your local terrene is about as interesting as mine :excuseme: --> :(

 <-- that's from the Free House

Love that clutch cover GBRobb, where did you source that. I like your sticker kit as well.
Now tell the truth you only really rode over to the pub from home and bumped into a friend doing the same-right?

Thanks for the effort Mate.

Strange sitting here looking at those photos, after spending the afternoon in a boat on a lake, while wearing jeans and a short sleeved tee shirt.:excuseme:

Its the standard one mate, just rubbed it down with some wet and dry. Did it with course stuff so its got the same sort of finish as the silencer. Was going to polish it but once you do that you have to polish it every time you get it dirty and i cant be arsed:D:thumbsup:
