• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The ultimate adventure ride

those river crossings look like a bitch(I got to experience my share though). Ever since I discovered trials tires I couldnt imagine going back to a knobby through deep fords. Its like cheating

Oh that’s nice, I like it a lot :applause:
Very cool video of what seems to be an excellent bunch of blokes having an epic tour
BTW, what’s a pub crawl ?

A pub crawl is when a group sets out to drink in as many pubs as possible in one night, and are usually transported by a courtesy bus from one to the next. It's an aussie tradition. The only difference on this ride is that we stayed in a different pub/town each night, and rode up to 150km of awesome mountain trails to get to the next spot. Nothing like frosty morning starts to erase a hangover ... and by the time you get to the next destination, you're ready to hit the bar and do it all over again.

This ride reminded why I started riding dirt bikes in the first place ... for fun! Hope you enjoy.

That looks like some fun and intense (carnage) riding. Have you tried this, with this group?
Also, the older guy of this video gave the best advice, "the right gear at the right speed," "if you stare at that hill, it will only stare back." Great stuff!

Another classy video Adam. Well done and thankyou. Any more footage on the 7 Deadly Sins ride it looked sooooo good. By the way how is your long term Husky review "pt2" coming along.

Yeah I have more footage, but that'll be in the hands of KTM Trail Tours to promote their business. I'll give you details in good time and you can contact them for the full movie in a few weeks... it'll be free, just postage.

As for the Husky TE250, I'm looking to race a three hour cross-country at the next AORC round in July, so stay tuned after that. It'll be based on getting it prepped for racing - it needs it!
I raced it stock in the A4DE, which was ok but it suffered a fork issue in the final moto and I haven't ridden it since. I'll investigate when I can ... off to cover Finke desert race this weekend!
