  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st The obligatory video thread.

That was sad. Poor guy should've stayed home if he was to worried about getting the bike dirty and going so slow.:(

To be fair, I know Go Pro cameras really flatten out a steep hill. I was just poking fun at the way he was trying to avoid the deep water and ended up getting all muddy anyway. I can hold my own with Johnny Walker though...it's one of my favorite adult beverages.

that 125 guy probably has a whole thread on how his suspension sucks and he needs a revalve............bike needs rejetting etc etc

that throttle hand is ridiculous---pin it and fan the clutch------ahahahahhahhaahhhhhh

My wings have taken a clipping lately but I finally got back out on my 08 WR250 ...Just a short climb here this has several stepups of varying size and type and its pretty steep so I get alot of clutch play along the way ... I think I'm in 2nd most of the time ..

Its been so long that I've been out in much real ST stuff, it was weird out there ... These climbs are all over the place here and in an effort to maybe cut out so many miles per ride, maybe I'll try to find more of this stuff.

Here's the roll down ...Helps bring out the climb angle much better this way ..

Really just walking paths ... The concept of fire trails and forests roads just does not really exist here on Cebu...Just too small a place for that. People live all over the countryside and not always a road up to their place plus sometimes the path is just a shortcut to the top or bottom of a ridge ... Lots of places are roads but no maintenance so they look about like that ... It's all open pretty much unless marked ... They usually like seeing us pass by :) ... We're the circus come to town. Other times we might be a little spooky to them when way out in the sticks because foreigners are plenty thin out there...

Here's one of several videos from my first big riding trip with the new 2014 WR300. It's at Burning Rock, West Virginia. I'll like post up a few of these.
Like posted for most of the vids in this thread... turn up the resolution if your connect will allow. Much better in 1080p.
