  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st The obligatory video thread.

DANG! You and the bike OK? Everytime I think I'm goig to get off the MX track and spend more time in the trails you guys show me stuff like this LOL! Those trees seem to jump out in front of you then don't move as you hit them .

No damage. I did have to kick the bars straight at the next stop though. John, if you're all geared up those crashes usually aren't a big deal.

Good to hear it didn't take any bark off you. I get the gear up thing now after five broken ribs, cut spleen, liver, and bad concussion a couple of years ago. After recovery I got an impact suite with full chest, back, shoulder, and arm guards. You would think an old fart like me (53) would have had it all on BEFORE the big wreck. With my 08 CR WB165 with EXP I've been slipping into the woods lately and it is fun. Anyways thanks for sharing the cool videos.

Yeah, it's funny. I'm only 36, and to think we rode dirt bikes when we were kids wearing shorts, t-shirts, sneakers and an open faced helmet. It's amazing what we do to prolong our lives. I guess the protectionists did do us some good. I can't even fathom that my 3 year old must, by law, wear a helmet on a bicycle when we rode stripped car hoods as toboggans.

raises his hand in shame.......yep when I wrecked I had a helmet and a t-shirt on. Live and learn; sometimes the hard way! LOL my 3 year old grandson looks like robo cop when he rides his RM50 with all the gear we make him wear.

For those of you that like older bikes here's my 92wr360 in some tight stuff.
love this bike!

here is a little bit of the track i've been working on the last 6 months. I had just unloaded and was going to take a warm up lap to see how many trees had fallen, ive spent alot of time cutting trees and with the recent storms I was surprised that only one big tree had fell . I was gonna video the whole track until I met a low hanging branch.

Also carrying a chainsaw on the bike blows!!!

best video yet! your terrain is same as North Idaho...the husky 300 draws envy on the hill climbs here as well..effortless ascent..no sherpas required!
