  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I searched and was amazed not to find one. It's hard to find WR250/300 videos on the web. Perhaps we can collect some here. Heck, I'll even take any other displacement 2 strokes, but they'd better be Husky! I've only ridden my bike once since I got it, so here is my only video so far...

Lincolnlock - Awesome single track! Is that in Washington? Reminds me of the Idaho Sawtooth area (Stanley Basin). Gotta love all those switchbacks. Loved watching you working them. I just love that type of riding.

Make a trip to the states next summer and I'll show you around!
That sounds mighty tempting!
I'm madly trying to get my finances in order to move to Tassie (Gods country for 4x4ing and trail riding) at the end of next year so I may have to take a raincheck!

I've got plenty of bikes so just let me know when you are ready!

I turned the sound off ********************************************************************************!! only way I could watch it
Oh dont get me wrong the vid is great but the bikes making bike noises has to be better than music (my opinion):)

C'mon, the spice makes space travel possible! I was down with the music, but I would have preferred some engine noise.

I always prefer hearing the bike rather than music. Some people will do it with a mix where they have both the bike sound and the music more muted in the background which is acceptable but would still rather here the bike working the problems.
