• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The New Factory Husky WINS first Race in the USA

Jake A Factory HUSKY 450 Just won the First AMA National Hare Scrambles of the Year
Here in the USA

Told you Andy Jefferson picked a good kid This is just the start

Its a great day for the Husqvarna company and thanks for the info ...

Sweet and I've said since day 1 on this site that all Husky needs is riders to win at the top levels around the globe ... Too bad bwm didn't agree and too bad the company had to be sold to prove it ...

And a 4fitty? We can thank current owners for bringing a 450 to market for the racers to ride to glory.

I could go on for hours on Husky winning... But you know, don't wanna be too PRO Husky here and get others under-excited.

Its a Husqvarna World ... Best get used to it :)

This Thread needs a pic....

Having your back covered by Charles Jirsa is also a plus!! Bravo to Charles the great off road crew chief behind another winner and still a part of the Husky Team. Nice ride Jake!!

Is it wrong that I feel like it's really a KTM? (edit: a good looking KTM)
(I did put a KTM front fender on my TXC310 to pay homage to the new owners but ... ?)
:excuseme:

Check the records book and see who they list as the winner. That's the official winner.

Too bad it wasn't actually a husky, a real husky not a cagiva. I'll be jumping ship as soon as i can.

Ok and again, we'll check the record book for the official winner ... Winner, not whiner.

And when jumping any ship, best to land in the row boat... Some captains may not wanna turn the ship around ... So good luck :)

Won't need a row boat i'll be jumping right back to a jap ship where life is cheaper. And by me saying too bad it wasn't actually a husky, i simply meant that i would have loved to see the original husky do it. I bought one because of their history. I didn't realize how much has changed! After i bought the bike things started going very wrong! I ended up on this sight and found that a few others had the same issues, then to top it all of friggin ktm buys husky!!! I don't hate ktm's, but i run into a-lot of ktm riders who swear there is nothing else better and treat me like i'm an idiot for not owning one! I like my husky but i miss my jap bikes light slim feel and dime a dozen parts on ebay and cheap top ends. Sorry if i sounded harsh didn't mean it that way.

Not to be a total party crasher, but Jacob won by default on this one. Gary had a 3 minute lead over Jacob. Had he remembered to replace his faulty radiator cap the night before, he would not of DNF. Jacob is fast and has many more races to prove himself.

To finish first, you must first finish..... Jacob was better prepared that day, so he won! Gary will be better prepared next time...... Racing is filled with the... Would have, could have, should have!

Edited for grammar....

Their would have, should have, could have list is much smaller then mine. Before a race I think I'm an A level rider but then finish bottom C every time lol

Duuuude :excuseme:
I'm a huge fan of dirt bikes and of the PEOPLE involved in the 'new' bikes like Jefferson and outfits involved with the brand like Zip-Ty .... buuuut every part on the bikes is really KTM. If I buy the CocaCola name and put it on a can of Pepsi .... that don't really turn Pepsi into CocaCola.
I'm happy with the success - and the mere mention of the Husky name on the Supercross broadcast - just wish I didn't know it's really just Pepsi in a CocaCola can. :oldman:
