• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

THE (HUSKY) NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The bikes were all parked in the garage with care,
In hopes that our ice studs soon would be there;

The riders were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of stoppies danced in their heads;
And mamma in her Shift socks, and I in my Thor,
Had just settled down and started to snore,

When out on the lawn there arose such a BRAAAP!
I sprang from the bed and tripped over some crap.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should I see,
But a new Husqvarna..... a 310 TE !

With a quick bearded rider, I mean, Holy Moley !
I thought for a moment it must be Norm Foley.
More rapid than eagles his four-stroke, it came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called out some names;

"Hey, Coffee! Hey, Fury! And Joe Chod and Drew!
Hey Dirtdame! Hey Up-Tite! Hey Motosportz, you!
Hit the whoops just a flyin', to the top of the hill!
Now give it some throttle! Yeah! What a thrill !"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with some knobbies, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the Husky it flew,
With a mighty roar and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a second, I heard over my head
The sound of a kickstand and Alpinestars tread.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in red gear, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all muddy and covered with soot;
Suspension from LTR he had slung on his back,
And he had Up-Tite products filling his pack.

His goggles were steamed up, his socks were all wet,
(He said he’d get dry ones when he stopped at Jo-Bet)
He took off his helmet, and gave me a shrug,
When he saw he’d tracked dirt across the new rug.

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
I offered him cookies, but he said that he’d pass;
He’d rather have Spectro and a tank full of gas,

He filled all the stockings with wonderful shit,
But just left the Trellies, ‘cause they wouldn’t fit.
He left 7602 stuff, lots of red and white gear,
Motosportz sprockets, and W.E.R. dampeners to steer!

Pivot Pegz brought a smile to my face
Works 50's all shiny and setup by A.C.E !
A Husky Sport jacket, flip flops and hat,
Best part is, Santa doesn't pay VAT;

BRP products, Semco I-beat and cool DVDs
Of enduros and WECs and ISDEs !
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his bike, ready to go,
And away he flew with huge roost of snow.
But I heard him exclaim, as he wheelied out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."

Happy to all and have a great New Year,
Joe

That was great, Tell Santa I need floaties instead of ice studs. Will the rain never end?

Merry Christmas from the deep south.

Yow....it sounds like it's a little too deep!:D

That was brilliant, Joe. Very creative.
Carnegie today ? My brother and I are going. If he wusses out, I'm going solo.
They are open on X-Mas day, I'm assuming. Merry Christmas to all and for me it's
goodnight. Jerry
