• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks, once again

I have a couple long rides coming up and want(need) a high flow water pump and trail computer for the rides. A simple enough order, but the timing was critical. I told Kelly I needed my order by today because I won't have an address for a couple months as I make my way across the country. True to his work my order showed up today as I loaded the bike into the trailer.

Thanks again Motosportz, you saved the day once again.

Excellent stuff, Powder...and Kelly!

Are you driving/riding across the country for a few months? If so, I'd love to hear about your travels and experiences.

I'm driving and hitting as many ride spots along the way as possible. More less I got sick of sitting behind a desk and lined up a string of consulting jobs that will allow me to travel for a year. I am going from NJ to Ohio and staying there for a few weeks then Chicago, U.P of Michigan, San Fransisco, L.A. and China. Once I am back from China off to Houston then I need go back to NYC for a month and after that who knows. Along the routes I plan to hit the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Yosemite, Drive the CA coast from San Fran to LA, and all along the way enjoying whatever comes up. I've worked all over the world and hardly seen any of this country so I am changing that this year. I plan to start a blog in the next week or so to keep my friends and family abreast of my adventures. I will post something on here and ADVrider as well. I'm pretty excited about everything and looking forward to a long over due drive from coast to coast with the TE along for the ride.
