• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

John,

Probably would work much better if:

1) you send me the scans as a PDF File ( I can then host it through a remote server.. PM sent to you tonight

2) link each image through a site like Photo bucket

3) let me look at getting you an answer why they are not coming up full size????

I just opened the box containing what I have left of my old dirt bike mag collection. Did sell a bunch at one point about 15 or so years ago (before I saw the light), but still have a pretty huge stack. I'll see what Husqvarna tests, or info I can come up with. I know forsure, I have 2 different tests on the '85 500XC's, as I thought that was the biggest baddest 500 at the time, even though I was on an 80cc and saving up for a 250. My mag focus should still range from a handful of late 70's vintage, with the main quantity being early till mid 1980's, with only a handful past that point as well.

John - sent you a PM.

Guys- if you have articles I want them for this Vintage Forum. The easiest way to get these to me is scan each page as a jpg and then attach them and send them to me. ( or post them up yourselves)

If you have a PDF reader and can scan each page as part of a larger PDF file that is ok as well.

PM me to accomplish this.

I can then either link the pdf file through the CH remote server or can post up JPG images through Photobucket.

Everyone will get full credit for whatever they send!!!

Thanks , T

Yahoo! What a pic, that's a great one ruwfo. I'll do the same, as I too have a photobucket account. Will be curious of scan quality, but that looks awesome. What a shot!
