• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

terra 650 updates in model 2014

After a closer look mine dose have a braided front brake line that appears to be coated with some black plastic ... Also has a black rubber tube over it at the bottom where it meets the caliper which is why I thought I wasn't braided... As far as pictures I don't have a home computer right now and I have no clue how to post a picture from my phone ...

Thanks mitchell. I dont have You Tube at work so I couldn't view kjack's vid (if that's where topic came from)
I looked at mine last night, from what i seen it was all plastic coated, but will make a point to look at this area again

Thanks for pointing that out. After a closer look is does look like its steel braided. Other pictures I've seen had a silver line, no coating. Mine came with the 110 year sticker also.

I had the 110 years sticker too. I have two inch risers that came with the bike too. I think Mark's (Big Dog) had those too.

Here's a 13 Strada vs a 14 Terra, they appear the same except for the coating on the brake line.
14 Terra

Hej, I am going to buy Terra 650. I have already paid the deposit. She is waiting for the lorry at Italy factory. I am afraid may be my dealer is tricky...
Is there official cigarette lighter socket on under seat at yours brand new Terra?
(output 12V for example GPS) May be she will be 2013 or may be 2014..

Not on my 2013, and i doubt the 2014's would.

No lighter plug under the seat of my 2014. There is a plug under the headlamp cowling that can be utilized though.

May be.. Is this cigarette lighter socket 12V on picture? I think my new Terra will be 2013. I did the deposit at 2013 december 12. She is from the north Italian factory..hy-oversaddle.jpg

Seems to be a relay, not a socket. I installed a battery tender plug along left side and also got a cord with a socket that ICan run up to my tank bag.

IMAG0441.jpgIMAG0442.jpg Simple installation. My bike isn't two months old. I'm not ready to hack into wiring or drill holes for sockets. Cord to battery is 2 feet long. Runs along frame under side panel. Tucks in out of the way when not in use.
