• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tell us your dream bike we could build out of 2010 and newer

How about a brand new 2010 TXc450{carb} plated & decked full street legal with big tank.Blk or clear $7195 can make your wish come true.billf

As in, clear Kalifornia legal? TXC engine in a TE frame? Zokes and a Sachs? Shiza i'm interested...

It would be an actual TXC decked out street legal with Oregon title and plate,,twin chamber KYB forks are std in 2010 and sachs rear shock.I will check but i think all the emission and safety stickers are on the TXC line.I would think if it had a oregon plate it wouldnt matter.BILLf

Maybe someone else can chime in...I've heard that they will yank the plate if you try to register it in CA if it is not on the approved list of VINs...

I am hearing you guys loud and clear ,we just purchased a lot or should I put it as a pile of Huskys in misc. forms of destruction and stripping, etc from race team remanants.2010 Tc250 stuff and entire bike,Te511 pieces, and assorted other frames and things from a kind of fleet sale.So we have lots to play with.I keep leaning toward the Wr300 in Tc 250 chassis thing,6 speed may be harder but maybe a wide ratio 5 speed would do.Just babbling .When it all gets here we can start pictureing it.billf

Sounds like fun, Bill.
Is the trailer being delivered to the shop? Can I peek in it?
Then I can tell you my dream bike.
Although a wr250 motor in the TC frame is probably it

It's from overseas, eh? I was thinking it was from a folded US team.
That's even cooler!

No its from Corona, but some of the stuff could be from back east ,not really sure.Just odds and ends and junk.

A five speed WR in a TC frame would be cool. Shouldn't be that hard to do, either. And it would really be interesting to see how it works when it's done.

Anything ever come of this? I came up with some neat ideas for doing a CST suspension with a WR 250 / 300 motor.

I have collected a Tc250 rolling chassis and TXc 511 frame and a 99 cr250 now and going to see if can fit the motor etc in there nicely for starts, just been really busy I work 12-14 hours a day with no lunch now 6 days a week just keeping up with everything,I hired a full time salesman 1 month ago and just now seeing my load getting lighter. So its all here to try just need the time.billf

i just want a TC - 310. would a 6 speed CR gearbox fit in the new motor ?? i kind of doubt it, but would sure be nice...

When 2013 bikes get here, just remove the electric start parts and respring and mod the the suspension as needed since it has the same KYB forks and shock and you will have your TC310 ,I love the 2012 TXc310 with a pro Circuit pipe as is its not bad on MX track just a bit soft and even the weight seems fine but getting the elec start stuff off should save 10-13pounds.

just wondering about the ignition, is the MX mapping different then the TXC ?? have you split the cases on a new x-lite motor yet ?? any of the older gearboxes fit in there ?? if the motor is 18% smaller, kind of doubt it would fit. i believe the 250 has a higher CR... then the 3130...
