• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Gas Gas Motos NA Race Report:

Team Gas Gas NA Off-Road resumed racing this past Weekend April 23rd and 24th at the east coast ISDE Qualifier/ Full Gas Sprint Enduro series in Romney WV. Near perfect conditions greeted the 240 riders in attendance to compete in the two day event. Riders were timed to the hundredth of a second in both the cross test and the enduro test 3 times each for a total of 6 test per day.

Team rider Broc Hepler on his new EC300 seemed to really excel in the sprint style event and dominated the E3 class putting his factory Gas Gas on top of the podium yet again! After winning both days, Broc Hepler has qualified for his first ISDE which will take place later this year in Spain! Hepler really seemed to mesh well with the extra power of the his 300 and has decided to make the switch from the 250 to the 300 for the remainder of the season.

Team manager/rider Johnny Barber also rode a strong race in the the E2 class putting his Gas Gas on the podium with a solid 3rd place finish after two days of racing. Barber, an ISDE veteran has also put himself in qualifying position for Spain.

Barber commented, "This weekend our team really came together with everyone putting in so much effort. We proved yet again that our bikes can compete at the highest level and as Team Manager it's very rewarding to see everyone's hard work paying off. Hepler rode absolutely fantastic all weekend and I'm excited to see him carry this momentum into our next event."

"Thanks to all of our sponsors and also the Full Gas Sprint Enduro crew for putting on a great qualifier."
